Patricia (Peezy) Mullins-Freeman's practice focuses primarily on employment law and health care law. Peezy also works with many employers in defense and investigation of employment matters, in addition to employment policy development, implementation, and training. Peezy works with health care facilities in ensuring regulatory compliance and in the drafting of contracts, admissions agreements, policy and procedure manuals, and marketing materials that are consistent with applicable federal and state regulations. Peezy regularly provides training to health care employees and management. Peezy also assists individual health care providers on matters of licensure and discipline.
Additionally, Peezy has significant experience in liquor liability and dram shop litigation. The firm has had success litigating dram shop and liquor liability cases on behalf of defendants. Finally, Peezy has experience representing defendants in a variety of matters, including insurance defense, transportation litigation, general liability and civil litigation.
Peezy is an adjunct professor for Rockhurst University, where she teaches Commercial and Health Care Law courses. Peezy is also a regular speaker for the Missouri League of Nursing. Peezy is active in the DRI Women in the Law and Employment Law committees. Peezy is rated "AV Preeminent," Martindale Hubbell's highest peer review rating for ethical standards and legal ability. Peezy has also been regularly recognized by her peers as a Super Lawyer in civil litigation, as published by American Lawyer Media and Kansas City Magazine. The Super Lawyers designation is reserved for the top 5% of the bar in Missouri and Kansas.
