Michael Belancio has an array of litigation experience at the trial and appellate levels, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. His experience encompasses personal injury, criminal defense, trucking, construction, surety, insurance, government liability, police misconduct, and special education issues on behalf of children with disabilities.
In 2006, 2007 and 2011, Michael was named "Best of the Bar" in the Kansas City Business Journal.
In 2009, Michael was awarded the Warren Welliver award by sections of the Missouri Bar.
From 2010 through 2017, Michael has been named a Kansas and Missouri "Super Lawyer" by a law and politics peer review polling to identify the top five percent of lawyers in Kansas and Missouri.
Michael was the Vice-Chair of The Board of Directors of Missouri Parents Act (MPACT), a nonprofit organization that strives to ensure that all children with special needs receive an education which allows them to achieve their personal goals. He retired after six years of service, but still remains on their advisory board. Michael now devotes his time with the Mission Project 2, a nonprofit organization that enables capable adults with developmental or cognitive disabilities to live independently and safely in the community with minimal support.
