Christopher R. Mirakian is an associate with the firm's litigation division, with experience representing local, national, and international companies in the areas of complex civil and criminal litigation and insurance defense. Christopher's experience in the area of insurance defense includes litigation of "bad faith" claims, and claims involving personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and construction disputes. Christopher has experience managing all facets of litigation, including the preparation of pleadings and discovery, creating litigation strategy, drafting complex motions and briefs, presenting oral arguments before both state and federal courts, taking and defending depositions, representing clients at arbitration, mediation and settlement conferences, and working closely with the client at every stage of dispute, from litigation strategy and negotiation to trial. His goals are to advise clients of the strengths and potential risks of their cases; develop effective, efficient, and creative strategies for success and reduction of those risks; and execute such strategies to obtain positive results.
Christopher is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he received an emphasis in litigation. While in law school, Christopher was a published journalist for the Law Review and was a journalist for the Urban Lawyer.
