Jackie Longfellow to Present on Employment Handbooks at KCALA Education Conference

On October 10, Baker Sterchi Member Jackie Longfellow will present the session, “Employment Handbooks: Discussion of Potential Areas that Might Need Updated and Considerations Specific to Law Firms,” at the Kansas City Association of Legal Administrators (KCALA) Education Conference. The presentation will cover areas in employment handbooks that may require updating based on recent changes in the law, and will also address recommended policies unique to the practice of law and running a law firm.

Longfellow is a civil defense trial lawyer with a practice focused on labor and employment matters. She is a frequent speaker on issues of interest to the employers and is a steering committee member of ALFA International’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. A member of the prestigious Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, she is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas.

Formed in 1971, the Association of Legal Administrators provides support to professionals managing law firms, corporate legal departments and government legal agencies, offering education and services to nearly 9,000 members in over 30 countries.
